Harper's in need of a new target

First-year agenda was easy -- be anti-Liberal.

Strictly speaking, Stephen Harper should be removed from office for disobeying his own directive to use the phrase "Canada's new government" at every possible opportunity --just as his government tried to fire a B.C. scientist who objected to being forced to use "idiotic buzzwords coined by political hacks".

In an address to the Conservative faithful in Ottawa's Chateau Laurier on the first anniversary of his election victory yesterday, Mr. Harper declared that "Canada's back," which may or may not replace "new government" as this season's rallying cry. But his favourite phrase was not the only notable absentee. By my count, he didn't use the word "Liberal" either.
