SEOUL, May 16 (Yonhap) -- Two Kenya-registered South Korean ships have been hijacked and four South Korean crew members kidnapped by a group of insurgents believed to be Somali pirates in waters off Somalia, the Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
The two fishing boats, owned by a South Korean identified only by his surname, Han, were seized and the four South Koreans taken hostage around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday (Somalia time) while en route to Yemen from Mumbai in Kenya, said Kim Bong-hyun, director.
