Abdillahi Mohamed Saad, an even worse plagiarist

Barely a week after Jama Elmi was caught plagiarizing by Ahmed Dirie, an other "author", Abdillahi Mohamed Saad, who was bragging around recently about the quality of his English, has been using the same technique of copy and paste.To prove the case, let's examine the same strange similarities between the recent article of Mr Saad (A Rebuttal to Faysal Dirie's Response to Bannana Republic -hiiraan.com) and a article called Attacking the demi-puppets (http://kingwenclas.blogspot.com/2005/05/arguments-of-our-critics.html).

Saad has just peppered his first article (The banana republic and the media biais) with so many borrowed sentenced to toughen up his English and yet Faysal was able to see the weakness of the text. Saad,author, a well known promoter of tribal hatred in Ottawa, was so eager to show\n that he cut and pasted entire paragraphs in order to show off. I understand now why Faysal Diriye could not understand the point of the author, Saad was only trying to impress people with borrowed sentences and stolen expressions with no regard to the overall signification.

Furthermore there is Abdillahi Mohamed Saad inability to convey faithfully his opinions. Usually late learners of English like Mr Saad who is primarily a Francophone,can master the art of spelling but are often inadequately equipped to provide the appropriate syntax to their contentions. For example, the author is casting himself as a die-hard Somailander and will still side with people denying the very existence of Somaliland like Said Samatar. At the same time, the author is whining about the shifting allegiance of his clansmen (Awdalites as he call them) but without specifying what DEFINING ISSUE should lead the Awdalites to be against Somaliland. Moreover, the\n author contends that "he will never call himself a Somalilander", further contradicting the "die-hard Somalilander" of the previous article. Bottom line, Mr Saad is a die-hard Somalilander who will never call himself a Somalilander, who used to support Somaliland in 2000 but subsequently reversed hiss stance because his fellow awdalites decided to do so. Either this man is mentally sick or betrayed by the quality of his English.",1]

The rest of Mr Saad articles is a bag full of lies. Normally I do not bother with clannish point of views, but since I know firsthand the mindset of Mr Saad and need to inform readers, I will therefore hold my nose and talk to the tribalist.

a) Mr Saad refers to a 1991 massacre in Borama that only exists in his freak delusional mind. In fact Borama was, with Lascanood, the only Somaliland regional capital that suffered no destructions. After Somaliland liberation, SNM freedom fighters (with a lot of Awdalites among them) chose to take the high road and prevent forcefully any civilian killings that would lead to widespread chaos.

b) According to Mr Saad the latest statistics show "that the Gabooyas, the Samaroons, the Daaroods, and The others make 20%, 10%, 3% and 2%".Mr Saad, who made this census? I am dismayed that you are treating Hiiraan readers to another idiotic mabraze discussion about clan numbers.I do not expect from a tribalist like you to do thorough research before making your point, but all Somalilanders know that there is NO census of Somaliland clans since the ones done by the British administration.

c)"Dr Rabbi and other Awdalites have every right to govern Awdal, Somaliland". Sure, Mr Saad, any Somaliland citizen, from Zaylac to Lascanood has every right to govern Somaliland. Mr Rayaale, from Awdal, the man Mr Saad refers to as a puppet, is currently holding the post with great dignity. Mr Rabbi could also but he is nowadays claiming everywhere that we should cut off the hands of every Issaq person because there are against Somaliweyn". How a so called Somaliweyn promoter like Mr Rabbi be at the same time a clan hater and advocate murder? For the record, his recent statements has been taped and passed on the RCMP following a hate speach legal action.

Mr Saad has every right to promote the Bright Star and the blue flag. He is not alone but the majority in Somaliland democracy has rejected any reunion with
Somalia.The recent parliamentarian elections, hailed worldwide as fair and free,are the greatest testimony of the Somaliland people (from Borama to Erigavo) commitment to sovereignty. If the US department of State is deeming Somaliland an example to Somalia, can Mr Saasd put aside his tribal hatred and give the same credit to Somaliland? An old Somali song used to say "Dad beey meeli bugtaa, bugtaa, Dad bey meeli bugtaa..."
