Students in Somaliland stage a demonstration against a UNESCO book.
Hargeisa 11 March, 06 ( Sh.M.Network) Students in Somaliland have rallied in Hargiesa Today in a protest a curriculum book which shows a picture of Prophet Mohamed(PBUH) in his childhood staying with goats.

The book is said to have been printed by United Nations Educational, scientific and cultural organization (UNESCO).All schools in Hargiesa were closed today.Students from all primary and intermediate schools in Hargiesa were taking part in the demonstration, some of them accusing the Ministry of Education in Somalia of its involvement in the print of this controversial book as our correspondent in Hargiesa reports.

The authorities in Somaliland didn’t yet comment on the issue.The protestors have demanded either the book be nullified or burnt, if not warning that further violent as those were held all over the world against the caricatures published by a Danish newspapers which angered all Muslims around the world.UNESCO Peer in Hargiesa has been helping the ministry of education in Somaliland in the print of curriculum for the primary schools since 2001.
